How Cold Can Bearded Dragons Get

Bearded dragons can tolerate cooler temperatures, but it is important to ensure they are kept within their optimal temperature range. The ideal temperature for bearded dragons is between 75 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit (24-29 degrees Celsius). However, they can tolerate temperatures as low as 65 degrees Fahrenheit (18 degrees Celsius) for short periods of time. It is crucial to monitor their body temperature and provide appropriate heating sources to prevent them from getting too cold. Signs of cold stress in bearded dragons include lethargy, loss of appetite, and a darkening of their skin color. To keep them safe and comfortable during colder months, it is recommended to provide additional heating such as heat lamps or ceramic heat emitters, and ensure they have a warm basking spot.
